Vision’s Eve

This experimental exhibition draws inspiration from Herder’s description of the origin of language, exploring how individuals gradually extract and clarify language from the chaotic flow of sensory input. Similarly, the emergence of a visual image is not a rational process, but occurs when one, amidst a flood of fragmented and transient images, can focus momentarily and then contemplate the image with clarity.
The exhibition aims to capture these visual impressions—whether real or illusory—isolating them as tangible forms. However, as the darkness lifts, these vivid images fade away, slipping into obscurity with the arrival of light. The works presented remain suspended in a state of "vision’s eve," existing only in the liminal moment before their full realisation.
The exhibition is by appointment only, offering a one-night immersive experience within a bedroom setting, allowing the viewer to engage with the artworks in an intimate, immersive setting.
